“2015 General Polls Won’t Diminish Nigeria’s Reserves” – Emefiele

The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Godwin Emefiele, has given an assurance that the fast approaching 2015 general elections will not wipe out the reserves of the country.

The Apex bank Boss gave the assurance at the Africa Business Summit, a high level international forum on Africa’s investment climate and market, with a theme, “Africa is Rising, There are Challenges, Still We Rise”, in New York.

According to him, the nation’s economy was currently in a good state and the 2015 election would not let it take a downturn, adding that Nigeria currently has a reserve of about $41 billion, which is the highest in the continent.
