PRCAN Holds Seventh Breakfast Meeting …Tunji Adeyinka To Speak On Leveraging Brand Assets

The Public Relations Consultants Association of Nigeria, PRCAN, is set to hold the seventh in the series of its highly acclaimed Monthly Breakfast Meeting on Thursday, April 28, 2016 in Lagos.

Discussions at the business-knowledge sharing and networking initiative will this edition be centred on “Situating PR in the Brand Asset Leveraging Equation”.

This session will feature Mr Tunji Adeyinka, CEO of Connect Marketing as the Guest Speaker, while guests expected to attend include: President of the Manufacturer’s association of Nigeria, MAN, Chairman, Advertising Practitioners of Nigeria, APCON, President, Experiential Marketing Association of Nigeria, EXMAN, CEOs of PRCAN member firms and the media.

The PRCAN Breakfast Meetings have in the past attracted respected professionals, as speakers, from the public relations industry. They include: Kufre Ekanem, Corporate Affairs Adviser of Nigerian Breweries Plc; Emeka Oparah, Director of Corporate Communications and CSR at Airtel Nigeria; and David Okeme, President of the Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) erswhile Brand Building Director at Unilever Plc.

Other speakers were: Tony Ojobo, Director of Public Affairs at Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and Mrs Nkiru Olumide-Ojo, Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications at Stanbic IBTC.

John Ehiguese, President PRCAN, said the monthly forum has grown into a viable platform for knowledge sharing and purposeful interaction between PRCAN member-firms and clients.

“The initiative is a platform designed for our members to better understand and also manage clients’ expectations through purposeful interactions and knowledge sharing thus enhancing the agency-client relationship,” he stated.

PRCAN is a creation of NIPR by-law No. 3 of 1993, empowered to cater to the consulting arm of the PR profession in Nigeria. Membership is exclusively restricted to consulting firms whose key executives must be members of NIPR and registered to practice public relations in Nigeria.

Its primary objective is to promote professional reputation management in Nigeria within the public and private sectors. It is also committed to maintaining professional standards and discipline among members and providing facilities/professional capacity for the public and private sectors to meet their PR consultancy needs.
