The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has tasked secondary school students on the engineering profession, urging them to imbibe the spirit of hard work, tenacity and love for science education.
Speaking when the Victoria Island Branch of NSE held a recent one-day enlightenment course for students of Dowen College Lekki, Lagos, the chairman of the branch, Mr. Nnamdi Chiegbu, highlighted the basic requirements for engineering programmes in universities.
The one-day course which highlighted basic requirements for engineering programmes in universities sought to educate the students on the career opportunities open to intending engineers.
Chiegbu told the students that engineers are highly sourced in organisations such as banks, information technology firms, construction, survey, design industries and many more.
He urged them to achieve good grades in English language in order to qualify for admission into the universities.
