Nigeria To Mirror India Agric Model – PMB

President Muhammadu Buhari has said Nigeria would emulate India’s agricultural model and capacity to feed its one billion population, and also export to other countries. He described the Asian country as “sustainable and prosperous.”

Receiving the Indian Vice President, Mohammad Hamid Ansari, at the State House, President Buhari said Nigeria would expand its relationship with India particularly in the areas of health, education, agriculture, technology and trade.

He added that Nigeria has over the years benefited from the cooperation of the country in trade and investment, agriculture, technology and the fight against terrorism.

He further welcomed the proposed investment of $5 billion in the Nigerian economy by the business delegation that accompanied the Vice President, while acknowledging that India had already invested $10 billion in the economy.
