Management of the Lagoon Hospitals, Lagos has emphasized the need to prioritize primary healthcare services in Nigeria in order to improve access as well as ensure excellence in healthcare delivery. It is because of this that the hospital has inaugurated a state-of-the art Primary healthcare Outpatient Complex in its Apapa premises.
According to Dr. Naseem Mohammed, the hospital’s Chief Operating Officer, healthcare delivery in the country cannot improve without a functional primary healthcare system.

Services available in this department include adult and children’s general out-patient services, wound dressing, Immunization clinics, laboratory services, pre-employment and other selective screening examinations.”
