Katsina To Spend N22m On Public Toilets

In order to address the menace of public defecation, the Katsina State Government has put in motion plans to construct about 40 toilets worth N22 million in public places within the Katsina State capital. This was disclosed yesterday by Yunusa Charanchi, Executive Director, State Environmental and Protection Agency.

According to Charanchi, a lot of diseases are caused by public defecation. He added that the toilets would go a long way in tackling the issue.

He added that the toilets would be constructed at motor parks, markets and other public places and that the agency would be responsible for maintaining them.
