FRSC Advises Motorists To Utilise Speed Limit Devices

The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) on Wednesday advised motorists to utilise the speed limit devices to reduce speed on the highways.

The Ore Unit Commander, Mr. Umoru Abdullahi, gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ore, Ondo State.

He said that the introduction of the speed devices by the FRSC was meant to reduce road crashes on the highway and engender safety of lives and properties.

Nigeria cannot afford to take the back seat in today’s technological innovation, especially in the area of safety of lives and properties.

“I am imploring motorists to embrace the speed limit devices which will reduce casualties and deaths on our highways,’’ Abdullahi said.

The commander said that the official enforcement of the devices had yet to be determined.

Abdullahi said that sensitisation programme meant to intimate motorists on the devices was ongoing in all motor parks in Ore and its environs.
