It has been reported that the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) which has claimed almost 1000 lives in some West African countries, including Nigeria appeared to have finally arrived the nation’s capital, Abuja.
According to a senior health staff of the FCT administration, a patient has been isolated at the Garki Hospital in Abuja. Although he could not categorically state if the patient is a career of the disease, he stated that the patient has shown all the signs of Ebola virus.
He also revealed that samples of the patient’s blood have been taken and currently being tested in the laboratory to ascertain the state of the patient.
