Facebook 10-year Roadmap Will Boost Economy

Facebook disclosed that it is ready to unveil a ten-year roadmap which will impact the Nigerian economy.

The company’s Director of Global product Partnerships, Mr Ime Archibong said the roadmap would be unveiled during the ‘Facebook for developers workshop’ for Nigerian engineers, product managers and partners which Facebook plans to host in Lagos next week.

Archibong noted that it would help the engineers build better applications and monetise them more effectively. He said the session will be loaded with valuable practical advice and detailed information about how developers can take advantage of the latest features on Facebook Messenger and Open Source development tools.

“Nigeria is known across the world for having a booming, creative tech scene. It’s  always good to get back and interact with the people who are at the forefront of this ecosystem,” he said.

”Facebook aims to be a great partner to the creative and entrepreneurial community in Nigeria, providing them with ways to build and grow their audience both in Nigeria and beyond. The partnership is hopefully going to make impact in the country’s economy.” he added.

The event will be divided into three workshop streams: Reaching your audience with Bots on Messenger;  Building fast and reliable login flows with Account Kit and making apps globally accessible with React Native.
