Benue State Government has so far spent over N800m on the ongoing construction of three technical colleges situated in the three senatorial districts of the state.
Commissioner for Science and Technology, Mr. Godwin Adah, stated this weekend after a two-day tour of the schools. The colleges are Government Technical College, Anyiin in Logo Local Government Area, and that of Garagboul in Buruku, as well as technical college situated in Otukpa, Okpokwu LGA.
According to Adah, science and technology remains the focus point of development by the Governor Gabriel Suswam administration and that such was targeted at creating wealth, jobs to the unemployed youths and to improving the educational standard of the state.
He said the projects of the three technical colleges as embarked upon by government will soon be completed and added that the schools have since started offering admissions to students whom he stated were receiving lessons and practical exercises.
