The star studded pan African Grand Finale will be hosted at the Ultima Studios, in Lagos, Nigeria, on 11 June by the Congolese born musician Capso and Zainab Balogun, a Nigerian actress, model and television presenter.

An esteemed panel of judges will hold the difficult task of deciding on the 2016 winner, launching the front runners music career.

Further to evaluating the final talents and as part of the $500 000 prize, Award winning singer, songwriter, producer and actress Keri Hilson will also share her knowledge and expertise as judge and mentor to the next African music phenomenon.

Joining Ms. Hilson on the panel is Briant “BeeHigh” Biggs, Roc Nation’s lead Director of New Media & Global Mobile Strategies.  Biggs’ dynamic personality and intuitive business skills put him at the forefront of many of the innovative and strategic moves made by the conglomerate company.

Final judge to join the team is Congolese singer-songwriter, dancer, philanthropist, guitarist and producer Faustin “Fally Ipupa” N’simba. N’simba’s accolades include Best Male Artist, Cesaire Awards and Best Artist or Group from Central Africa.

He has also conquered the International music scene and reached the hearts of many fans with his blend of various styles such as Soukous, Ndombolo, Pop and R&B.

The 10 finalists will battle for the coveted prize which includes, a mentorship program in Atlanta and a duet with Keri Hilson, featuring in their own music video, a contract with a major music label and worldwide media exposure through the various TRACE platforms.

The finalists are: Edu Ezehike(Nigeria), Tonya Ahenda (Kenya), Frank Issa (DRC), Johanna Rakotomavo (Madagascar), Yahama Hama(Niger), Ruth Kulaisi (Malawi), Chandrica Adididet(Gabon),Moses Ugheighele(Ghana), Melissa John(Tanzania) and Tiwamyenji Phiri(Zambia).

The Airtel TRACE Music Star 2016 Finale will be broadcast on TRACE channels in July.
